Job Description

  • 5+ years of experience in digital advertising and client facing roles
  • Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers
  • Bachelors degree in Economics, Marketing, Advertising, Statistics, Engineering or Business or equivalent work experience
  • Work experience in digital media including display/search advertising, campaign optimization, analytics platforms, client management and business development.
  • Proven track record of delivering revenue results and significantly contributing to customer success
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration skills with experience developing customer relationships and influencing key decision-makers
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Have good judgement and use large datasets to solve problems that span business and technology
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize, to succeed in a fast-paced, ever-changing business
  • Passion for always learning and developing new skills
  • Located in or near an Amazon Advertising sales office, or able to relocate to one
  • Able to travel to customer office
Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of advertising and eCommerce, and offers advertisers a rich array of media solutions across Amazon’s mobile and desktop websites, proprietary devices including kindle and Fire TV, and the Amazon Programmatic Demand Side Platform. We are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager who is passionate about helping our advertisers make effective, analytically driven marketing decisions. We’re looking for a highly motivated Account Manager who is passionate about partnering with our advertisers, educating them and helping to solve ambiguous business problems, mitigating risks before they become roadblocks. As an Account Manager, you are responsible for managing complex advertiser relationships and initiatives where you define the strategy and you set the standard for Account Management best practices. You’ll not only dive deep into data to understand trends, but also communicate the “why” behind results and make actionable recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you’ll be able to leverage Amazon’s proprietary data to provide strategic and personalized recommendations, influencing both your internal team and your external customer to facilitate them reaching their business goals. This role is highly collaborative, working with Creative, Sales, Product, and Retail partners and will drive process improvement to gain efficiency and foster collaboration. The Account Manager’s strategic digital expertise and influence is considered critical to unlocking greater value and impact for our advertisers.
Responsibilities
  • Become a knowledgeable partner and leader on Amazon Advertising solutions
  • Develop annual media strategies for growth based on overall advertiser goals and objectives
  • Develop campaign strategies and audience engagement recommendations
  • Evaluate success metrics and drive campaign performance using data
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to form and deliver actionable recommendations for both short- and long-term advertising strategy
  • Educate advertisers on performance metrics, insights, and how to drive greater results on Amazon
  • Work cross-functionally with sales and other Amazon partners to drive incremental revenue and increase advertiser satisfaction
Key job responsibilities

Take a consultative approach to optimizing customer’s advertising campaigns through the use of data and Amazon insights

Perform in-depth data analysis to deliver actionable insights and recommendations

Learn to evaluate KPIs and optimize campaign performance using a data driven approach

Educate advertisers on performance metrics, insights, and how to achieve greater results on Amazon

Develop annual media strategies for growth based on overall advertiser goals/objectives

Work cross-functionally with sales and other Amazon partners to drive incremental revenue and increase advertiser satisfaction

Develop campaign strategies and audience targeting recommendations per brand and product line

Retain and grow revenue from your book of business of existing advertisers

Achieve upsell goals through insight driven recommendations

Provide support and feedback to future AAM classes

  • Digital Advertising focused degree and/or coursework
  • An ability to analyze quantitatively, and problem-solve
  • Excellent oral and written communication and ability to influence internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • 1+ year of digital advertising or equivalent experience, including internships
  • Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers
  • Experience using online productivity tools such as Office 365, Salesforce, or similar software

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
