We are looking for an experienced Account Manager, headquartered out of our Grand Rapids, MI location. This exciting position works directly with our customers on new business acquisitions as well as management of current business activities. The successful candidate will have a team-focused approach that aligns with our Mission Statement and Guiding Principles.
Ridgeview Industries is a leading metal stamping, welding and assembly manufacturing company primarily serving the automotive market. Our privately held, employee owned company, founded upon Christian principles, currently employs approximately 600 team members across 4 plant locations.
Primary responsibilities:
· Submit quotations and follow up with customer purchasing and engineering departments on status, includes gathering critical input into RFQ
· Coordinate meetings between Sales and Account Engineers with customer Purchasing and Engineering as required
· Customer visits and customer relationship development as required
· Field calls and emails from customer departments and align with Ridgeview internal resources to provide resolution
· Follow up with customers and track open commercial issues; maintain an open issue deck
· Follow up on launch timeline tasks; program management
· Support annual sales forecasting
· Attend meetings at suppliers, vendors, supplier conferences, etc., as required
· Develop sales strategies for assigned and potential customer accounts
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred, but will consider a Business degree or applicable experience
· Must have 3 to 5 plus years of Sales experience, preferably in the automotive market with metal and/or stamping experience
- Conduct work in a way that aligns with Ridgeview Mission Statement and Guiding Principles
- Passion and discipline to follow well defined processes
- Excellent time and project management skills.
· Excellent communicator who can understand and deliver information, both written and verbal, in a clear, open, honest and accurate method.
· Excellent relationship skills with a strong ability to build rapport and collaborate with others
· Good analytic skills
· Strong computer skills (Microsoft office and email)
· Must be able to understand technical issues inherent to the stamping process
· Must be a strong negotiator
· Willingness to travel as required (occasional overnight)
· Must have a track record of obtaining business
