About the role

Crunchtime is looking for a passionate solutions engineer with a deep expertise in payroll integration. As a solutions engineer specializing in Integration within our Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in bridging our enterprise platform with cloud-based payroll systems. This role requires a keen understanding of system interoperability, ability to dive deep into the world of APIs and figure out how to connect the two systems together. By joining our team, you'll contribute to the optimization of our operational workflows, fostering efficiency and collaboration across various business units.

What you'll do as a Solutions Engineer - Payroll Integration

Act as the payroll subject matter expert for internal stakeholders (Engineering and Product)
Gather and analyze requirements for integrations with external systems in collaboration with partners and business stakeholders.
Coordinate and implement data mapping to the payroll system and write detailed technical specifications.
Document integration setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance processes comprehensively.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute integration strategies effectively.
Design and develop against the payroll APIs
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues promptly, proposing and implementing enhancements for efficiency and effectiveness.

What we're looking for

Very good understanding and proficiency in payroll systems (ADP, Paylocity)
Proficient in integrations, encompassing both file and API-based solutions, with good experience in REST API. Skilled in manual API requests using tools like Postman and Insomnia.
Strong grasp of relational database concepts and proficiency in SQL.
Basic understanding of microservices architecture and good command in Java programming knowledge.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Demonstrated capability to assess complex business requirements and lead definition sessions for effective solutions.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 1-2 years of experience as a Systems Analyst, supplemented by knowledge of Payroll systems.
