Job Summary
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and guiding a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets and drive business growth. Your role will involve developing and implementing sales strategies, fostering client relationships, and overseeing the sales process.
Duties
- Oversee and plan all sales related to the group of companies and its divisions. Prepare and review quotes, designs, proposals, bids etc. work with project team and junior staff
- Cultivate, develop and maintain relationships
- Create Purchase Orders and Work Orders
- Schedule start up meetings and WO’s with Operations/Controller on approved work
- Manage client list and actively communicate company news and updates
- Manage and rectify customer complaints and needs when they arise
- Reports submitted to weekly meetings and bi-weekly meetings with senior management, as well as project wrap up meetings etc.
- Leading sales & marketing with an emphasis on growth and future business development for the group of companies. Includes trades shows, events, after hours obligations etc.
- Collaborate with Operations with weekly financial analysis of projects, provide suggestions to improve operations and profitability. Includes up to date financial information (revenue, direct costs, materials, OH, profit & profit variance).
- Manage clients and assist with project schedules
- Advertising and marketing where required
- Achieve company’s sales targets and implement strategies to reach them
- Relay and organize all relevant customer information in appropriate software
- When applicable, ensure safe work practices on work sites, coaching and support for crew
- Communicate problems encountered with the day to day operations including equipment breakdowns, scheduling changes and inclement weather etc. to customers
- All other duties and responsibilities as require
Long hours will be required during landscape season at around 50 hours per week. Weekend work or late evening work will be required if required by the customer in terms of due dates or timelines. Making time for customers is expected beyond regular business hours.
Exceptional communication between the customer, executive team and management. Working with the team to see that bids and proposals are accurate and submitted to clients. Ensure projects are carried out with excellent quality and customer satisfaction.
Presence on jobsites, at customer accounts as necessary to build accurate proposals.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
