Salary Range $58,796 - $100,130 per year
JOB SUMMARY:
Optimize Empire’s Sales while minimizing Accounts Receivable carrying cost and bad debt expenses.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Analyzes, approves, or declines new credit applications.
- Knowledgeable of laws and regulations regarding the extension of credit.
- Manages territorial receivables portfolio and maximizes the turns of Empire’s investments in Accounts Receivables.
- Develop, implements, and maintains a proactive collection strategy for the territory assigned.
- Provides our customers maximum value when financing their equipment needs.
- Develops and maintain a working relationship with alternative financial institutions to provide our customers an alternate financing source if Cat programs are not available/beneficial or if financing is declined by CFSC.
- Maximizes the turns of our new, used, lease, and rental inventories.
- Motivates, trains, and supervise credit staff to meet present and future departmental needs.
- Create an environment of ownership and personal accountability where each person is responsible and accountable for their performance.
- Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Recommend and implement process and policy changes for the benefit of Empire and specifically the Credit department.
- Provide and interact with the Legal department with pertinent account information and collection notes for accounts written off to bad debt expense.
- Work within and promote corporate values.
- Knowledge of equipment application and marketing.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with commercial credit laws and documentation.
- Must have interpersonal skills to professionally assist customers and employees in widely varied activities.
- Must have strong verbal and written communications skills as required in customer and inter-departmental contact.
- Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
- Proof of high school degree or General Education Degree (GED).
- Must be able to analyze customer account information to correctly determine credit worthiness.
- Must be able to learn, understand and improve the credit account collection system to efficiently manage credit receivables.
- Must have general business, finance, credit and/or accounting experience and/or education to perform credit and accounting responsibilities.
- Must have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of Arizona Pre-Lien Laws.
- Must have an Associate’s Degree, CCE Accreditation, and/or 10 years Credit experience.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
