Sales Engineer Details:

• Direct Hire position
• $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 /annually
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 04:00pm)

• Seventy-five percent of the time will be required for travel to expand sales of the company with both new and existing customers.
• Work with all levels of the organization, and develop fulfillment strategies that meet or exceed customers' needs; this includes but is not limited to price negotiations, general administrative requirements of the customer, customer forecasting, and routinely visiting customers to build relationships, etc.
• Provide Executive staff with marketing information and field intelligence for both current and future customers and competitors, suggesting appropriate course of action.
• Assist the Director of Sales in developing the annual sales forecast as well as the 2-year Strategic Sales Plan.
• Provide support to the Quality and Customer Service Departments for all customers on any quality-related issues.
• Participate in Project Launch Meetings and Product Development meetings to provide information and keep customers informed as required.
• Work with the Manufacturing and Product Engineering groups, prepare accurate price quotations and requests for information in a timely manner. Manufacturing and Engineering provide cost information; Sales personnel set profit margins to match what the market will bear.
• Participates in the creation of marketing materials including web page designs, brochures and flyers, customer presentation material, and customer sample requests.
• Complete and forward formalized monthly reports.

Sales Engineer Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Business or related Sales/technical field preferred.
• Five or more years of experience in industries such as aluminum products, aluminum extrusions, medical products, aerospace, and marine products.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Maintains exceptional people skills when interfacing effectively with all levels of the customer’s management, design, engineering, and purchasing personnel, as well as internally with other team members.
• Multitask-oriented with extreme attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Access, MS Project, PowerPoint and other comparable software packages.
