Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Manager to join our growing pickle company. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our brand, building relationships with clients, and expanding our market presence. You will work directly with retailers, distributors, and foodservice operators to promote our line of premium pickles and related products. Additionally, you will earn a 2% commission on all new businesses acquired, rewarding your efforts to bring new clients on board. This position offers a $65,000 base salary, with the potential for additional earnings based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the retail and foodservice sectors.
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Product Promotion: Effectively communicate the features, benefits, and unique qualities of our pickle products to potential customers.
- Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences to adapt sales strategies.
- Sales Goals: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets through proactive outreach, follow-ups, and closing strategies.
- Order Management: Coordinate with customers to process orders, ensure accurate delivery schedules, and track inventory needs.
- Brand Representation: Represent the company at trade shows, events, and customer meetings to build brand awareness.
- Reporting: Maintain up-to-date sales records, performance reports, and customer feedback to provide to management.
Compensation:
- $65,000 base salary.
- 2% commission on all new business acquired.

Qualifications:
- Ability to comfortably have conversations with clients; people of all backgrounds.
- Maintains current working knowledge of relevant competition in markets where assigned.
- Provides accurate and timely move-in forecasts as requested.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build trust with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
- Knowledge of food products, especially pickles or similar items, is a plus.
- Ability to travel to meet clients, attend trade shows, and visit stores.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in the retail or foodservice sector, with a focus on specialty food products.
- Passion for food, particularly pickles and related products.
