Responsibilities:

· A total of 3 positions are available with candidates to be domiciled in Los Angeles CA, Mesa AZ, Seattle WA or Portland OR.

· Secure and manage new regional/local account businesses [Air, Ocean, Warehousing/Distribution and 3PL].

· Continuously grow new business by maintaining strong relationships with mid-Level management and key stakeholders/decision makers in the Semiconductor, Automotive, Electronics, and other industry verticals.

· Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets in overall territory target and individual account targets.

· Develop and conduct strategic sales initiatives – qualify opportunities, identify key decision makers, offer custom tailored solutions, etc.

· Expected to make 60 direct customer calls/web/FTF meetings per month.

· Provide coaching and conduct joint sales calls with Regional Sales Director, Dept. Managers, and/or Branch Managers for additional support if needed.

· Maintain personal contact with large key accounts.

· Research customer needs and offer a solution of products and services in an effective and timely manner.

· Know your competition and determine market strategies to overcome sales obstacles by obtaining relevant data & information from dept. staff & management.

· Research and create lists of potential customers with market research to determine customer needs and collaborate with dept. staff and management.

· Evaluate product & service marketability in terms of customers’ requirements/needs.

· Keep up to date on latest industry trends and emerging markets to expand your sales targets.

· Establish & maintain industry contacts that lead to sales.

· Work with Regional Director/AGM, Branch Management, dept. managers, C/S, and operations staff to establish a clear communication path for handling new customers.

· Annual Salary Range $75,000 - $100,000

· Eligible for Sales Incentive program

Qualifications

  • Strong self-motivation and strategic focus – ability to quickly identify key decision makers and opportunities.
  • 3+ years of experience in hunting sales in a freight forwarding/logistics industry.
  • Strong Communication skills – ability to conduct corporate meetings and executive presentations with C level positions.
  • 5+ years of experience in general management concepts such as planning, accounting, administration, and economics.
  • Ability to close business – clearly identify short and long-term business opportunities.
  • High level of negotiating skills – ability to negotiate contracts and processes.
  • Only applicants that meet these minimum qualifications will be considered.

Sales Activity Expectations:

  • Achieve Annual Revenue Target.
  • Weekly Sales Expectations – 15 sales visits/week. Obtain min. 5 quotes/week.
  • Update Target Account list (Report) and Salesforce CRM on a weekly basis.
  • New Business reported monthly.
  • Attend and report sales activity on a weekly basis via web meeting or in person.
  • Continuous commitment and willpower in closing new business.

General Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in marketing, business administration, economics.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Strong Communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize various projects.
  • Influencing skills in a matrix environment.
  • Patience – ability to deal with complex processes that may involve multiple levels of approval.

Organization Relationships:

Will work with all levels in the organization.
