You will be accountable for sales of Industrial Electric Motors in our Central Florida market, driving sales volumes and margins. Reporting to the Florida District Office Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing the ABB and Baldor*Reliance brand motor business, maintaining important relationships with our channel partners, and providing critical feedback to ABB Sales and Product Management on all issues that affect the ability to grow market share.
Your responsibilities
- Working with marketing and other departments to prepare sales plans and bids, ensuring technical and financial accuracy
- Working with the wider sales team to identify and develop new market opportunities
- Using your knowledge of customers’ needs and ABB’s solutions to determine effective solutions for customers
- Monitoring customer and market trends along with the marketing team to develop effective marketing activities
Your background
- Basic Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Engineering and minimum 2 years of experience working in an industrial field
- Software proficient in: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Outlook, MS Teams
- Within territory travel >75% of time, with possible overnight.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Industrial electric motor product application knowledge with the ability to recommend suitable products to customers and to differentiate products from those of the competition
- Effective communication skills with the ability to listen, understand, educate, and influence customers/potential customers regarding products
- Capable of appraising commercial business situations, both internal and external, and determining course of action
- Trained to sell industrial electric motor products in industrial applications
- Those who meet all other requirements with demonstrated experience in the field will be considered
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the US
