About This Role

The Employee Benefits Sales position is responsible for personally finding and qualifying new leads, and converting prospective buyers into clients. To be effective in this role, you must: be a great prospector, adept at building trustworthy relationships, skilled at asking questions, and have a natural market to call on. You’ll work closely with the LoVasco Employee Benefits team to manage the delivery of our benefits consulting and brokerage services.

Duties

  • Use a consultative approach to engage potential clients, generate interest, and schedule discovery meetings
  • Prepare capabilities presentations with subject matter experts and account management team outlining how LoVasco’s approach to benefit consulting will positively impact a prospective client's business and total rewards strategy
  • Create sales proposals, presentations, and RFP responses that creatively and effectively address complex prospect needs
  • Pursue cross-selling opportunities with other LoVasco practices to enhance prospect and client relationships across the company
  • Positively and proactively represent LoVasco at meetings, seminars, trade shows and networking events
  • Receive coaching and mentoring from fellow sales professionals and senior leaders
  • Track all sales activity in Salesforce: leads, calls, emails, opportunities, etc.

Additional Desired Characteristics

  • 5+ years in B2B sales
  • Proven track record of sales success in our target market (business with 100 to 1,000 employees)
  • Experience with Salesforce, ZoomInfo, MiEdge, and Asana
  • Michigan Life and Health insurance license
  • Knowledge of group insurance (medical, dental, vision & life and disability products)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
