Job Description

An international automotive components manufacturer is searching for an entry-level Sales Engineer to join their team in the western Dayton, OH area. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and is technical-minded, with the ability to independently develop new clients and business opportunities. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with an excellent benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as 401(k) matching.

Sales Engineer Responsibilities:

Identify new business development opportunities and establish relationships with potential customers within assigned sales territory
Act as point of contact for customers and clients regarding product issues, quality assurance, technical support, and any other questions
Collaborate with sales and engineering teams about planning and design, customer requests, market analysis, and expected demand
Preparation and delivery of product proposals
Create price quotations and negotiate price/costs with customers
Secure product orders and follow up on tracking and delivery
Achieve sales goals and revenue targets with minimal supervision
Create sales and activity reports for upper management
Other duties as assigned

Sales Engineer Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering field preferred
Minimum 1-2 years of sales and account management experience, in a manufacturing environment preferred
Strong ability to communicate and collaborate in a multicultural environment
Familiarity with mechanical engine components in the automotive industry is strongly preferred
Must be able to travel 50% (Statewide / Nationwide)
Japanese language skills preferred but not required
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Solid computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk, and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Benefits:
