National Sales Support - Packaging
Western Packaging Solutions is a supplier of bulk packaging solutions and related products, serving the North American market.
This new and fast-growing business unit is expanding its sales team and is looking to add an outside sales position to our expanding sales team. This position is base + commissioned sales. Involving cold calling, working lead lists, building a customer base from the ground up and expanding share of wallet in a group of related products serving multiple markets in defined regions in North America . This position reports into the business unit leader. Regular activities will involve new business development, using our new CRM system, cold calling/prospecting, negotiation, closing and account management. Technical training in the products is provided.
Responsibilities / Requirements
- Fluent in English (verbal/written), multi-lingual is a benefit
- Objective-driven individual, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
- 1 to 5 years B2B sales experience, mainly on the phone/email; including growing a book of business from the ground up
- Friendly, at ease with and effective at cold calling / prospecting activities
- New business development / new product introductions
- Technically apt / detail oriented
- Curious and inquisitive about product expansion
- Able to understand basic product specifications (learn the language)
- Forecasting territory and segment performance
- Organize and maintain customer files and customer master
- Work well in a team, open to coaching
- Escalate any issues to senior management
Qualifications
- Proven work experience in sales, 1 to 5 years’ experience
- Great on the phone with customers
- Organized, flexible and have business sense
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Familiar working with freight forwarders, logistics and base level negotiations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communications skills, written and spoken (English is a must, French is a benefit)
- Able to use different CRM software’s, Import / Export data from different platforms.
- At ease working under a sales activity and sales target driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus, but not necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
