Full Time Veterinary/Pharmacy Account Manager

The Veterinary/Pharmacy Account Manager reports to the Director of Operations who oversees the Prescription Auto-Refill Program.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Ensures all medication needs of the client’s pet(s) are met in a timely and professional manner.
· Communicate directly with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians via phone, email, fax, and text in a timely manner.
· Accurately read and write prescriptions.
· Provide friendly, exceptional customer service both in-person and through phone calls, emails, and texts.
· Enter new patient profiles and prescriptions into medication input software system.
· Ensure data entry is maintained accurately and effectively.
· Reach or exceed stated goals for the program.
· Ensure that the department’s proper response times for customer contact, including calls, texts via web-based service, and email in the same day or no more than 12 hours.
· Make sure all accounts are up to date daily.
· Edit and update client medical records.
· Retrieves information as requested from medical records, email, and other related documents.
· Must be willing to have direct communications on the phone on a daily basis and resolve issues immediately.
· Communicate instructions to clients regarding their pets’ prescriptions.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software.
· Ability to work independently.
· Goal oriented.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· One year of experience in veterinary medicine preferred.
· This position prefers the applicant to have at least one year of experience working or volunteering for an animal welfare organization.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
· Allergic conditions, which would be aggravated when handling or working with animals, may be a disqualification.
Job Type: Full-Time – Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm. Some weekends may be required.
Salary: $17.00 per hour
