SUMMARY:

The Director of Sales will lead a dedicated sales team that provides products to retail partners across the state of Missouri. This role will be responsible for direct sales and account management as well as managing the performance of each member of the sales team. The Director will be expected to lead by example, creating new retail accounts and maximizing sales through existing retail partners. This role will have full responsibility for managing the inventory of finished goods and keeping store buyers up to date on changes in product availability. As a Department Head, the Sales Director will also be responsible for setting budgets, managing staff levels, overseeing procurements, and creating regular reports on the performance of the department.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or other related field with 3-5 years of experience in a professional work setting, preferably including sales experience.

· Management experience required.

· Cannabis experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Building and leading a team of Account Managers to serve customers in Missouri.

· Developing and managing customer accounts to drive sustainable sales growth.

· Coordinating with the leadership team to make changes to the production schedule based on projected sales and customer feedback.

· Establishing KPIs and tracking those metrics to evaluate the performance of the Sales Department staff.

· Providing support for Account Managers and tracking progress by setting performance goals that contribute towards KPIs.

· Coordinating with our retail stores to ensure consistent stocking of products and providing support to drive sales.

· Creating and refining a sales strategy for our products in the state of Missouri.

· Performing regular market analysis and making recommendations to the leadership team based on emerging patterns and trend lines.

· Acquiring and maintaining a high degree of product knowledge about all our products as well as any new developments in the marketplace.

· Creating a database of retail accounts and developing those accounts through regular contact.

· Utilizing social media to promote sales and spread brand awareness among consumers.

· Organizing and leading marketing campaigns including in-store promotional events, digital/print advertising, and other events to stimulate consumer demand.

· Setting up and running an order fulfillment program that promptly and correctly delivers all products to customers throughout the state.

· Ensuring department remains compliant with all applicable rules and regulations for cannabis sales in MO.

· Managing finished goods inventory and providing product availability information to retail partners.

· Utilizing online wholesale marketplaces to advertise and sell products.

· Creating SOPs for the department and providing regular updates to demonstrate implementation of best practices.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

· Assist with reducing costs of goods sold and operating expenses.

· Comply with all company policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

· Strong Communication skills coupled with effective presentation skills and the ability to deliver insightful messages to external and internal audiences.

· Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations

· Excellent analytical, project management and problem-solving capabilities.

· Must be reliable and maintain good attendance.

· Strong leadership and organizational skills

· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

· High attention to detail.

· Ability to work effectively under time constraints as necessary.

· Proficient in English.

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

· Experience with Microsoft Word and other MS products as well as the ability to learn other software programs as needed.

PHYSICAL EFFORT NEEDED:

· Must be able to lift at least fifty (50) pounds.

TYPICAL NUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTS:

· Up to 4.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

· Frequent exposure to a manufacturing environment.

· Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, and read and write numbers and letters.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

· None.

TRAVEL:

· Some travel may be required for training purposes and for staying abreast of industry developments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
