We’re looking for an experienced Catering Sales Manager to join our team and drive event bookings for our premier venue. Responsibilities
- Actively prospect, solicit, and secure new catering and event clients, focusing on corporate events, pharmaceutical luncheons, regional meetings, trainings, and private celebrations.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, event planners, wedding planners, and destination management companies.
- Attend networking events, host luncheons, and proactively generate new leads through face-to-face meetings and outreach efforts.
- Respond to inbound inquiries while prioritizing outbound sales efforts to secure new business.
- Create customized proposals, contracts, and packages to meet client needs while maximizing revenue.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
- Maintain and grow a strong client base, focusing on repeat business and long-term relationships.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in catering sales, event sales, or a similar role, preferably in the San Diego market.
- Proven track record of generating new business and exceeding sales goals.
- Strong local, regional, and national relationships with corporate clients, planners, and vendors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, outgoing, and proactive in seeking opportunities.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with creating proposals, handling contracts, and working with commission-based incentives.
