Electrical Components International (ECI) is looking for an Account Manager within the Transportation Market to join our team! This person will be based in Tillsonburg, Ontario.

Qualified candidates must have:

· Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university

· Minimum of 3 years of industry experience within the supply base similar to ECI; specifically in a transportation, agriculture and construction, automotive, or similar OEM.

· Display of good judgement and initiative

· Strong initiative, drive & positive attitude

About the Position:

The Account Manager-Transportation Market is responsible for the maintenance and growth of assigned customers within the transportation market.

Duties Include:

· Coordinate the support of all assigned customers; gaining new and maintaining existing business with the highest possible, long-term profitability.

· Continually balance time between supporting current business and developing new business.

· Receive RFQs for business and follow documented procedures to gather the information necessary to provide a quotation to the customer in a timely manner.

· Continuously monitor “total customer satisfaction” through formal (scorecards, key performance indicators) and informal means. Communicate issues and areas for improvement internally to allow resolution of issues (quality, delivery, technical support, price)

· Coordinate and lead regular business reviews with key customers

· Appropriately handle issues individually or with a small group and raise issues as necessary to management’s attention

· Work with supervisor to develop an annual sales plan and to achieve or exceed the sales and profit targets. Prepare regular sales reports and forecast updates as necessary

· Engage in activities to enhance profitability i.e. raw material pass through, collection of obsolescence costs, terms compliance, cost reductions

· Work closely with Customer’s Purchasing and Engineering Groups but also maintain relationship with other Customer Groups such as Operations, Scheduling, Quality

· Work collaboratively with ECI technical groups to develop new business opportunities and execute cost take out activities at assigned customers.

· Aid in the coordination of internal activities to support customer projects. i.e. product development, program management, operations management, customer support

· Work with Supervisor and VP of Sales in negotiating customer contracts.

· Help evaluate and improve the business systems of the Sales Group.

· Work independently but frequently inform supervisor of activity.

· Able to work effectively in a home office.

· Other duties and responsibilities as determined by supervisor

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 3 years of industry experience within the supply base similar to ECI; specifically in a transportation, agriculture and construction, automotive, or similar OEM.

· Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university

· Strong communication skills with ability to interface with internal and external customers

· Good presentation skills, both oral and written.

· Good analytical and general business skills

· Display good judgment and initiative

· Demonstrated team membership skills

· Must be willing to travel (average 1 time per month) by air and auto

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,532.32-$101,099.88 per year
