THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Accurate, efficient, and with a love for the details, you’re a natural problem solver who drives results. You’re motivated, and goal-oriented, taking on challenges with enthusiasm. The Estimator, a member of our Finance and Admin team, will prepare cost estimates, analyze, and align our internal teams with project details, and maintain detailed records of estimates and quotes. This role will work integrally with our Sales, Production, and Account Management teams, using their communication and collaboration skills.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Review project specifications and requirements and determine materials, labor, and production costs
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, and overhead costs
- Collaborate with the Sales, Production, and Account Management teams to develop project proposals and timelines, that work for our partners and our team members
- Adjust estimates and quotes to ensure accurate costs are captured and communicated, as project details shift
- Evaluate supplier quotes and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive bids
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, quotes, and project costs
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Associate’s or higher-level degree in Finance/Accounting, Economics, Merchandising, or related field, preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in estimating for commercial printing or a related field
- Proficiency in using estimating software, PACE experience, preferred
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Attention to detail with a strong discipline to solve problems and drive results
- An ability to multi-task, keeping several projects running at one time
- A passion for building and sustaining collaborative relationships at multiple levels within a company
- An interest in evolving trends in the print and direct mail industry
