Job Summary:
The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with key clients and managing high-value commercial roofing accounts. This role requires a deep technical understanding of roofing systems—especially single-ply TPO—as well as exceptional account management and sales acumen. The ideal candidate is a seasoned sales professional with a customer-first approach, capable of navigating complex client needs, delivering tailored solutions, and supporting the development of junior team members to enhance overall team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management and Growth: Manage and expand a portfolio of high-value commercial clients, ensuring excellent service and maximizing sales opportunities. Build long-term relationships by consistently meeting and anticipating client needs.
- Client Consultation: Provide expert-level consultation on roofing systems, especially TPO, advising clients on the best solutions for their specific project requirements. Serve as a trusted resource for clients’ technical inquiries and challenges.
- Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to capture market share in the region, track progress, and achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Collaborate with and provide guidance to junior sales account managers to extend your individual client reach and enhance daily effectiveness. Lead by example, setting high standards for client service and performance excellence.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with project managers, estimators, and operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery and maintain high customer satisfaction levels. Coordinate cross-functionality to ensure client expectations are met from initial sales to project completion.
- Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive products, and market conditions. Use insights to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge. Share knowledge with the team and contribute to the company’s strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in roofing sales or a related construction industry role, with proven experience managing commercial accounts. Strong knowledge of TPO and other roofing systems is required.
- Sales Acumen: Strategic thinker with ability to drive revenue growth through account management and new business development. Track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Customer-Centric: Demonstrated ability to prioritize customer needs, build trust, and provide high-touch service. Skilled at tailoring solutions to meet specific client challenges.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and maintain detailed records. Proficiency in CRM tools is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a senior sales or account management role within the commercial roofing or construction sector.
- Proven ability to train or mentor junior sales team members.
- Knowledge of CRM software and sales tracking systems.
