ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Sales Coordinator of Fairchild Equipment, you will provide support to our sales team members and fellow sales coordinators to ensure the team is backed up and effective in keeping ‘Customers for Life’. The purpose of the role is to shift non-selling activities away from our sales representatives, enabling them to reallocate their time to strategic selling activities, resulting in sales growth. You will be responsible for fostering significant business partnerships with all levels of leadership and collaborate with multiple cross functional teams to improve the customer and seller experience. This is a full-time position out of our corporate office in Green Bay, Wisconsin, reporting to our Sales Office Supervisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and receive purchase orders in business system.
  • Generate invoices for purchased equipment in business system.
  • Create sales proposals and quotes while working with our capital equipment Sales Representatives.
  • Generate and track work orders for equipment being prepped in shop.
  • Process unit transfers, customer pick-ups and trade-ins.
  • Issue Bills of Lading for customer units.
  • Demonstrate good customer service skills when customers call in with questions and/or concerns.
  • Order Data Tag and/or Capacity Tag’s when applicable for new and existing units.
  • Manage annual inventory audit to verify whether the business software stock matches the physical warehouse stock at each branch.
  • Maintain company inventory spreadsheet to ensure accuracy of units sold, added, moved, pricing, etc. for the sales team to be informed at all times.
  • Assist with customer master data sheet by requesting credit information and submitting for approval.
  • Responsible for setting up depreciation on units brought in or moved to the rental department.
  • Processing of internal vendor invoices.
  • Assist service departments by taking a proactive approach on units being prepped for customers.
  • Coordinate final inspections of off-lease units, submit PO’s to leasing company for equipment being purchased for sale or inventory.
  • Process monthly invoicing to include final invoice of all Rent to Sell contracts.
  • Reach out to vendors to collect more information on any unclaimed BOL.
  • Assist in coordination unit demos; sourcing, maintaining demo file and monitoring of unit before and after.
  • Back-up all sales coordinators when needed and requested upon.
  • Assist with reporting for ITA bookings, forecast, sales estimates, etc.
  • Process freight bills and invoices from various vendors.
  • Maintain communication with company management at all branch locations.
  • Update billing scorecards for month end.
  • Process new truck orders in Novo; truck configuration and ordering.
  • Order equipment, accessories, etc. for the rental department as requested.
  • Willingness to take on various administrative, communicative, and prioritizing responsibilities for all areas of Sales as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent Excel skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, shift priorities in a changing environment, and self-direct with good business judgments.
  • Travel to Fairchild Equipment locations as requested by Sales Office Supervisor and/or Director of Sales as requested; less than 10% annually.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or Genal Education Degree (GED) Required.
  • 2+ years of experience working in sales; material handling/ industrial sales experience is a plus.

  • Sitting- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Occasional physical activity of the position:

  • Balancing- maintaining body equilibrium.
  • Fingering-perceiving attributes of objects by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.

The visual acuity requirements:

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

  • The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
