As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing, promoting, and managing sales within a specific territory in alignment with company objectives and strategies. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for driving sales and leasing initiatives for modular building units within your assigned territory. You will develop the relationships needed to support, maintain, and increase sales. You will create and execute a sales strategy and plan to achieve customer satisfaction and continued revenue generation. To thrive in this position, you will have a proven track record in sales and account management with a background in the construction industry. Ideally, you are outgoing, focused, and motivated with excellent listening skills and the ability to deliver an extraordinary customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales and Leasing:

  • Develop and implement effective sales and leasing strategies to achieve revenue targets within the assigned territory.
  • Develop sales plan, detailing activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus on expanding client base in the assigned territory as well as supporting existing clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, fostering relationships with key decision-makers in the construction and related industries.
  • Develop and maintain a database of qualified leads. Identify sales prospects and follow up with them in a timely manner.
  • Sell consultatively, asking questions and making recommendations to prospects and clients.
  • Participate in networking and marketing events such as seminars, referral groups, and trade shows.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance on modular building solutions that meet their specific needs.
  • Work with management and cross-functional teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction and revenue generation, in alignment with company vision and goals.

Market Analysis:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities within the territory.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential areas for expansion and growth.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including project management and operations, to ensure seamless execution of sales and leasing contracts.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns that effectively showcase our modular building solutions.
  • Establish and maintain effective team relationships with all support departments.

Reporting:

  • Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and updates to senior management.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track and manage sales activities, ensuring timely and thorough documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned territory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in sales and account management, preferably in the construction industry
  • Experience in modular construction or similar innovative construction methods is highly desirable
  • A strong desire to succeed with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information, drive discussion, and build rapport and relationships
  • Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to close sales through a consultative sales approach
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and results-oriented approach

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position primarily works in an office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse and printer. This position will need to be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
