Job Description

The role of the Inside Sales Engineer is to provide quality pre-sales technical support to the organization and its Customers. The Sales Engineer ( SE) interacts with clients and supports sales reps and sales management. The SE qualifies sales opportunities, resolves all technical issues arising from the sales engagement, helps clients define specifications and requirements, and presents technical information to small and large audiences. The SE is also responsible for training sales reps on network technology and products.

  • Provide technical support to both internal sales reps and external customers
  • Respond to sales and customer calls, over the phone and in-person
  • Gather technical data to prepare and present proposals to new prospects.
  • Source technologies and solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Develop technical responses and strategy for RFIs and RFPs
  • Develop pricing strategy to support growth
  • Administer technical training and guidance to sales reps and management
  • Provide customer support for all post-sale issues until resolved
  • Ensure correct technical content of all customer orders
  • Design customer technical solutions with engineering diagrams, drawings and specifications.
  • Understand and convey technical advantages of the organization's products and services
  • Provide technical training and guidance to Sales on as needed basis.
  • Identify sales opportunities and provide recommendations to enhance business growth.
  • Problem-solving skills that can be applied on-site and under time constraints.
  • A general understanding of the global Hydraulic landscape
  • Ability to travel upon request
  • Self-starting, will take initiative and be able to work well in a team environment
  • Proven experience with managing multiple projects and opportunities simultaneously
  • Exemplary organizational skills and time management planning
  • Understanding of the sales cycle and the solution selling process
  • Proactive communication style ensuring timely status of projects to sales rep and customer
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
