The Territory Manager manages all direct and indirect selling activities within an assigned territory consisting of distributors, strategic partners, prospects, and current customers. The ideal candidate for this position will have a deep understanding of soft body armor and protection needs in the market. The candidate must be an effective sales leader, a self-starter who takes initiative and works with limited direction, and a highly trusted individual who maintains and expects high standards.
This position will be responsible for the sales activities for Armor Express within a designated region. The position involves 75% travel, therefore the candidate may reside anywhere within a 4-5 state region.
Major Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain excellent customer and distributors relationships in order to grow the business by understanding customer opportunities, needs, requirements, buying processes, and the competitive landscape.
- Establish and maintain quality customer relationships by delivering exceptional customer service, establishing rapport, identifying, and exceeding customer needs and expectations.
- Acquire in-depth industry and company knowledge in order to articulate product features, benefits, pricing and make recommendations to include core and innovation products.
- Maintain consumer prospect lists/contact database in order to assess client purchasing trends; proactively and consistently seek opportunities to promote and sell products based on client purchase history.
- Provide regular and efficient updates on assigned accounts to sales management including accurate and timely sales.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings or relevant sales training in order to ensure appropriate sales techniques are being used and accurate information is being communicated to customers.
- Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
- Attend and manage trade shows.
- Develop and maintain new and existing customer relationships using ethical sales methods, supporting growth targets, and meeting customer satisfaction.
- Interface with Director of Sales, CEO and other company personnel to review sales status, performance to sales targets, and performance to contracts.
- Interface with company new product development personnel to assure customer desires are met.
- Call reporting and follow-up within CRM on a daily basis.
- Other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of Sales experience with demonstrated track record of success in driving customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Experience selling to Public Sector and Distributors.
- Ability to identify new and existing opportunities through basic consultative selling methodology.
- Knowledge of CRM and opportunity management systems preferably Salesforce.com.
- Ability to work flexible schedule and travel as necessary.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office, excel, and outlook.
- Strong work ethic and employment history.
WORK LOCATION
The position may be remote within the United States.
