Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno’s Inkblot is seeking to hire student to work as the Account Coordinator.
Supervision of Others
Supervision of the design/deadline process. Therefore, you are entitled to request information from the designer and are expected to provide project information to AD/Director/Supervisor/Client. Assistant Director of Marketing supervises Account Coordinators.
Consequences of Error/Responsibility for Decisions
The Account Coordinators facilitate the process of design. They are the closest to each project. Therefore, a mistake on their part could cause Inkblot to promote incomplete or false information. The quality of our work would decrease and ASUN would receive inferior promotion. That is why the Account Coordinator is crucial.
Standards
  • Must follow up with client after each major step on the Inkblot Timeline.
  • Clients, supervisor, Director, Assistant Director, and any other relevant parties must be informed of deviations away from the Inkblot Timeline.
  • CC Director when talking with client (when necessary).
    • This helps with not missing anything when developing the event and if one person forgets something, there are others who will know what is going on.
    • CC all related Directors when there is a problem.

  • Make sure to double check that the Club is on-campus Tier 1 funded (ask Director of Clubs & Orgs).
  • If a client on the government side of ASUN is being unclear or unfair, CC the president so he/she is in the loop.
  • Give the client updates every so often (you can decide when it’s necessary).
  • When using Basecamp, ALWAYS comment under relevant message boards, docs or files as to not confuse other people (be as clear and concise as possible).
  • Make sure to post everything from each event onto Basecamp.
  • Brainstorm new marketing ideas specific to new events.
  • Use Assistant Director/Director for assistance in account process, but be able to manage the entire process without help, if necessary.
Responsibilities
70% Managing Current Work Orders:
  • Act as the project manager for each project
  • Meet with client to establish scope of project (when necessary)
  • Use Basecamp to post notes, questions, concerns, and comments
  • Use timeline to establish deadline for project (work with Director when necessary)
  • Create unique promotions for work orders that abide by timeline
  • Use templates to make sure all the necessary info is on Basecamp
  • Notify everyone who needs to be involved with the project when necessary. (Video, photo, social media, other departments, etc.)
  • Update the client with the status of their design if asked
  • Throughout the design process ensure that Inkblot, ASUN, accessibility, and University policies are abided by
  • Notify Assistant Director and Director on Basecamp when items are approved to order
  • Verify that the client has received printed materials
  • Ensure designers have time to design a proof and final copy of their work
  • Work with Assistant Director whenever you need help
  • Attend weekly meetings to discuss status of promotion
  • Verify printed materials are received by your clients

20% Planning for the Future:
  • Always be thinking how we can improve our marketing efforts
  • Provide data after projects are finished and client record interactions
  • Record mistakes and successes and build on them in the future
  • Understand where modifying or re-using a design could save resources

10% Miscellaneous Tasks:
  • Be ready to assist anyone in the office whenever they need it. (Sometimes a deadline can only be met with help)

  • Candidate must maintain a 2.75 GPA and be enrolled in at least 15 credits
