Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Sales to direct and oversee our Interior Design team’s activities and performance. Our clients typically include high profile personalities, top executives and luxury homeowners.

The Director of Sales responsibilities include crafting and executing strategic sales plans, setting and achieving ambitious sales targets, and building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.

Our ideal candidate possesses excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills, with a proven track record in sales and team management.

Ultimately, the role of the Director of Sales is to drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and building strong relationships with clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate company goals.
  • Meet with key clients, maintaining relationships, and negotiating and closing contracts and deals.
  • Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust sales strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the activities of the competition.
  • Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop the sales program.
  • Develop and oversee the Marketing and Social Media needs of the company to drive new revenue.
  • Evaluate and communicate monthly quantitative analytics to marketing and advertising partners.

SKILLS

  • Exceptional leadership skills to manage and motivate a small sales team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication skills to articulate sales strategies to team members and executives and negotiate successfully with clients.
  • Strong business acumen to understand market dynamics and customer needs and align the sales strategies accordingly.
  • Excellent networking skills to build and maintain relationships with key clients, vendors and industry influencers.
  • Financial acumen to forecast sales, budget effectively, and analyze performance metrics.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to identify sales roadblocks and devise effective solutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/MS degree in business administration, marketing, interior design or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a Sales Director or similar senior Sales role.
  • Profound knowledge of sales strategies and industry trends to drive business growth and achieve sales targets. Interior Design industry expertise preferred.

The Director of Sales pay will be based on all previous experience and skills. The position will include a base salary plus commission.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
