Description
The Health Insurance Sales & Service Consultant will work with an existing book of business of individual clients and insurance carriers with the sales and service of medical, dental, vision, life, supplemental, and Medicare insurance programs. The Insurance Sales Consultant will act as the dedicated point of contact for individual and family clients for sales, enrollments, service, and renewals.

Responsibilities
- Manages day-to-day service for individual clients including customer claims, billing, and eligibility.
- Prepares timely quotes, advises clients on types of insurances via meetings, and processes enrollments and terminations with insurance carriers.
- Performs accountability measures by following up with carriers on enrollments.
- Evaluates current insurance policies and recommends additional coverage when needed.
- Documents client plans and correspondence in agency management system in a timely manner.
- Establishes and maintains successful working relationships with clients through multiple forms of communication and documentation.
- Participates in special projects/teams. Identifies areas to assist team members.
- Assists in workflow review, process documentation, and improvement initiatives.
- Follows agency policies and procedures including but not limited to HIPPA, PHI compliance and confidentiality. Reports directly to owners.

Skills and Requirements
Background in health insurances, Medicare, benefits administration, sales, or account management necessary.

  • Self-motivated individual
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use various software including Microsoft Excel, Word, and insurance quoting software and successfully use carrier websites
  • Experience working with Connect for Health
  • Positive attitude, energy and enthusiasm
  • Experience with quoting multiple lines of health insurance plans
  • Excels working independently and enjoys being part of a office team environment
  • Must be able to meet schedules and keep to deadlines
  • Organizational skills, including handling multiple projects and clients at one time
  • Attention to detail
  • Accepts ownership and responsibility for accomplishing new and different opportunities to add value to job and promote the good of the company
  • Skilled in problem solving
  • Bilingual, a plus, Spanish language preferred

Education and Training Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or business administration preferred.
  • Minimum of one-year equivalent experience.
  • Actively participates in licensing requirements, certifications, ongoing educational opportunities, and professional organizations.
  • Connect for Health Certification
  • Medicare Certification
  • Active State of Colorado Accident and Health, Life license or willing to obtain in a timely manner and maintain annually.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
