Job Summary:

We firmly believe that empowered and engaged people are the keys to success. In this role, you are the technical bridge between prospective business customers and the Sales team. You can see all sides of a potential solution, finding what works best for all parties involved. Based in Calgary, you will collaborate with the Business Sales team – receiving support and guidance from the NLF leadership. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to support new customer acquisitions, drive revenue growth through solution-selling, ensure customer retention, and contribute to the overall success of our sales team and business.


What you will be doing:

  • Successfully match customer requirements to proposed solutions
  • Preparing technical presentations to explain CFOC’s products and services to existing or potential customers.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales and Network Engineering teams to develop long-term sales strategies
  • Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles
  • Prepare cost estimates by studying related documents, consulting with network architects, engineers, and other professional personnel.
  • Gains customer acceptance by demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements
  • Model the financial business case associated with each sales opportunity
  • Provide inputs to Product Managers for developing new products
  • Communicate client needs to the R&D/Product teams for future product enhancements
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence
  • Provide supervision and technical training to junior team members.
  • Have a commitment towards an excellent customer experience.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create compelling marketing assets that align with the company's brand

What we are looking for:

  • A deep and thorough understanding of telecommunications technology, and the application within a Business setting. Areas include:
    • FTTX (GPON, EPON/XGSPON) network architecture and latest industry trends
    • Basic routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS etc.)
    • Network security, data center and application services
    • Technical aspects of RFP/RFI responses.
  • The ability to take technical concepts and make them relatable to all audiences, finding solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Someone who works well in collaborative environments, looking to solve puzzles as a group
  • A genuine passion for technology and connectivity: you love learning about ways that Broadband can evolve to better suit the needs of our communities and customers.


Schedule:

  • This role is Monday-Friday, standard business hours, on-site typically Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday.
  • Some travel to on-site locations will be required.
