What you'll be doing:

As our Brand Ambassador, you will share your passion for Fernie Brewing Co. in a variety of scenarios including festivals & in-store tastings throughout Kelowna and area, giving customers a positive first impression of our brand. You are an excellent communicator and a natural people-person with the ability to engage with others in a positive and friendly manner.

Our Brand Ambassador must be available to work approximately 15 hours per week on weekends, evenings, and holidays during the summer months (May – August). There is no guarantee of a set number of hours per week or month.

Main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Hosting in-store demonstrations and supporting brand promotions
Attending industry events throughout Kelowna and area
Providing product sampling to consumers shopping in liquor stores or at pubs and restaurants
Educating potential customers about Fernie Brewing Company, our brand, our line of craft beers, and the tasting notes of the products being sampled
Gathering marketing intelligence & feedback on the various beers and reporting any applicable information to the BC Sales Manager
Liaising with store management to enhance the customer experience and to build brand awareness
Setting up and taking down of events from start to finish
Reporting results of events to the BC Sales Manager

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

Serving It Right Certificate (must be 19+)
A valid Class 5 Drivers License and clean driver’s abstract
A safe, reliable vehicle for travel
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage positively with potential customers
Willingness to learn about FBC products and processes
Knowledge of the BC craft brewing industry an asset
Customer service, retail, and/or serving experience would be an asset
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
Friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing customer service approach

This position is approximately 15 hours per week from May to August 2024. While the schedule may vary, the successful applicant must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
