Job Description
Provides Sales leadership support and direction for a group of Regional Account Managers (RAM) in a select geography. Develops and initiates Clean Earth strategies for the company, along with Regional specific growth opportunities. Directs and provides guidance for the RAM team that maximizes revenue and profits through maintenance/growth of existing customers and through acquiring new customers. Operates under the guidance of the Senior Regional Sales Director for the area.
Qualifications
- Provides leadership, direction, and management of field team of Sales personnel within designated region in order to achieve objectives.
- Directs and manages the recruiting, hiring, training, and development of sales staff.
- Serves as a regional liaison between Regional Sales Team and the Regional Operations Director, Regional Operations, Customer Service, Facility, Plant, Transportation Finance, Program Manager(s)) and the customer.
- Direct and manage sales productivity and profitability in an effort to achieve designated profit and revenue objectives within respective geographical responsibility.
- Directs and manages the entire sales cycle from prospecting, maintenance, proposals, contracts, price increases, bids, and contract renewals. (Non-Hazardous Waste, Sustainability, Emergency Response, DEA Waste and Hazardous Waste).
- Coordinate, implement, and manage regional account sales strategies. Strategize with National Accounts team to further develop National accounts within the Region. Drive Clean Earth commercial strategies for growth and success.
- Operate within designated expense budgets and report regional sales results.
- Develops, maintains, and utilizes pricing models for all major markets and implements service agreements that are consistent with Clean Earth’s financial objectives.
- Manages sales productivity and profitability within assigned geography, in an effort to achieve designated profit objectives.
- Work with Technical Sales team to drive Cross Selling within accounts in the Region.
- Ensure adoption and regular usage of Clean Earth CRM system by self and direct reports. Activities current, and Pipeline accurate and relevant.
- Ensure performance of Clean Earth Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for self and direct reports.
- Provide leadership and support for Sr. Regional Sales Director.
- Perform other reasonably related tasks, as assigned by management.
Basic Required Qualifications:
- Educational equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Science related field (preferred), Sales or Marketing, OR the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating a proven track record of sales for services in a similar industry.
- 10+ years sales experience with demonstrated leadership type activities
- Self-directed, with the ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Experience in usage of a CRM system.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in details; and strong phone contact handling skills, active listening and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in high stress environments, managing several tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to Travel approximately 25%-50% of time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sales Management experience
- Hazardous Waste regulatory experience in both RCRA and DOT.
- Financial budgeting/forecasting experience
- SFDC.com experience
