Job Title
Strategic Account Manager
As the Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for revenue growth and profitability through the management of assigned major accounts and for creating and maintaining positive customer relationships by providing account management, excellent customer service, and technical assistance.
Role & Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and lead execution of key account plans, budgets, and programs to support company sales and profitability objectives.
  • Drive sales growth expectations and ensures customer specific strategies and practices are consistent and aligned with company strategies.
  • Optimize market sales/revenue opportunities by keeping informed of market developments in the field.
  • Provide consultation and expert advice to management on business forecast for key customers and marketing opportunities.
  • Act as liaison, plans, and oversees interactions between development, engineering, production, planning, shipping, accounting, sales, distributors, and customers to effectively manage customer needs.
  • Represent the company in the resolution of complex customer complaints, answering technical questions, and resolving difficult disputes.
  • Contract review, factory load, technical order information, product cost history, ongoing technical support, negotiation of expedited customer specifications, and forecasting customer needs by analyzing records of present and past sales.
  • May coordinate requests for quotation activities to include cost and technical review with sales, production and engineering personnel. May provide complex quotes with management and technical assistance.
  • Organize resources to ensure the necessary information is gathered to analyze the feasibility of establishing long-term contract agreements with customers.
  • Update training as required to ensure latest procedures and processes are being implemented.
  • Coordinate corrective actions for all customer complaints to ensure quality, service, and returned goods issues are addressed appropriately, expeditiously, and identifies the root cause.
  • Provide timely response and follow-up to customer requests to include order status, quote status or other information.
  • May process customer orders including data entry, sales and shipping documents, and returns and replacement orders.
  • May work on special projects focused on systems and productivity improvements as needed.

Job Requirements:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Experience:
  • Minimum Eight (8) years’ related technical account management experience

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Technical background and market knowledge related to gas appliances and gas heating applications highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively
  • Performs detailed oriented tasks utilizing intermediate math skills
  • Performs tasks requiring moderate to advanced proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook and CRM
  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

Position Specific Title and Responsibilities:
  • May be required to travel to customer locations to promote new products, resolve customer problems, and to represent the Company at trade shows and conferences
