The Position
Rare Blood Disorder Account Manager (RBD-ACM) - Seattle/Alaska Ecosystem
Location: Seattle, WA
Note: Candidates must live in the Ecosystem (includes the broader Seattle area and Alaska). Living close to Seattle is preferred. Overnight and weekend travel is required and no relocation benefits are available for this role.

The Opportunity:
The RBD-ACM deeply understands the needs of healthcare providers, specialty pharmacies, patients/caregivers, and advocacy groups to address their clinical, educational, and business goals, supporting improved patient outcomes, lower costs, and better care quality. Empowered to manage their Therapeutic Area within the ecosystem, they optimize efforts across stakeholders to enhance customer and patient experiences. They leverage experts to provide necessary product information, influence business strategy, and represent all relevant products. The RBD-ACM drives on-label clinical demand, ensures appropriate medication use, increases patient and caregiver knowledge of GNE brands, and collects ecosystem insights to support the national strategy locally, all while adhering to ethical and professional standards.
You serve as the primary point of contact for their therapeutic area, addressing opportunities to implement ecosystem and TA squad strategies at the point-of-care.
You understand and address the needs of healthcare practitioners, specialty pharmacies, patients/caregivers, and advocacy members by mobilizing experts to support clinical, educational, and business goals.
You identify and develop solutions for complex or critical accounts within and across ecosystems.
You educate HCPs on product information and appropriate use based on FDA-approved guidelines, and engage specialty pharmacies to reinforce the Therapeutic Area's value proposition.
You provide patients/caregivers with resources to facilitate healthcare discussions, address product acquisition and supply issues, and ensure product access through education on coverage, reimbursement, and patient assistance programs.
Who you are:
Required Qualifications
Business, Scientific or Clinical degree, Bachelor’s degree level at minimum
Previous cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences (pharma or biotechnology) or related industry engaging with key healthcare ecosystem players (e.g., payers, health systems), is required
6 or more years of experience working in a sales role with HCPs, ideally representing multiple products and working across a complex healthcare system environment
Proven track record in coaching, training and/or mentoring peers or others as assigned; helping such others to better meet or exceed their goals, targets and other responsibilities
Knowledge of and ability to successfully addressing operational issues in the delivery of healthcare products to patients, such as reimbursement and supply
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous 4-6 years of account management skills or patient education industry experience preferred
Previous patient-facing commercial/clinical experience in Rare Disease and/or Hemophilia is a plus
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location in Washington is 138,000 - 230,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.

This is a field-based position and overnight travel may be required. This position requires significant driving of either a company provided or personal vehicle as well as prolonged periods of sitting, both of which are part of the essential duties and responsibilities of the role. As a result, Genentech, Inc.
