Job Summary
The Membership Sales Lead is responsible for achieving sales targets through exceptional lead engagement and sales management. This individual is a key player in executing BODYBAR’s sales process, supporting member retention, and contributing to the overall success of the studio. An ideal candidate possesses demonstrated success in business-to-customer (B2C) direct sales, strong leadership skills, and a passion for fitness and customer service. A deep understanding of Pilates as a fitness modality and its benefits is optimal for success in this role.
This position offers substantial earning potential through a competitive base pay, commissions, and bonuses, making it ideal for a driven sales leader focused on maximizing personal and studio success. The role will support and report to the studio leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive membership sales by actively engaging with prospects, conducting studio tours, and explaining BODYBAR’s offerings to potential clients.
- Achieve monthly revenue targets through the successful implementation of BODYBAR’s sales processes, including follow-up with leads and maintaining consistent membership drafts.
- Generate leads through grassroots marketing, community partnerships, and member referrals.
- Train and motivate the sales team, ensuring high performance in achieving individual and team sales goals.
- Track and analyze sales performance data to ensure targets are being met or exceeded, and provide feedback to improve team performance.
- Participate in local networking and community events to promote the studio and generate membership interest.
- Maintain strong relationships with members by providing excellent customer service and engaging with members before and after classes.
- Ensure accurate tracking of sales and commissions
- Preferred 2+ years of business-to-customer (B2C) direct sales experience in retail, service, or fitness.
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
- Skilled in self-generating leads through community events, partnerships, and referrals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in person, on the phone, and via email.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Experience in sales team leadership or coordination is a plus.
- Proficient with client management software and technology systems related to sales.
- Professional, trustworthy, and punctual with a strong passion for Pilates.
- Mon-Fri with some weekend and evening availability required. Must be able to be flexible with time commitment to the studio.
- Base Salary: $15 - $25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
- Commission Structure: Competitive commissions based on membership sales, incentivizing high performance.
- Performance Bonuses: Additional bonuses for achieving or exceeding monthly membership targets, providing substantial earning potential.
