Job Description
As a Residential HVAC Sales Consultant for Sensible Heating and Cooling (SHC), your main objectives will include generating new customer leads and forming positive relationships with clients. You will also work with and assist highly skilled HVAC specialists who can design, install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have an HVAC, Mechanical, or Engineering background and the following skills, qualities, and abilities.

· Able to complete field investigations which may involve climbing into crawlspaces & attics.
· At least five years of HVAC field experience as an installer and/or technician.
· Knowledge of mechanical and building codes related to HVAC.
· Proficient in math as it relates to estimating, load calculations, and performing basic design.
· Basic understanding of Microsoft Suite including OneDrive, SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
· Basic skills related to using service or CRM software. ServiceTitan skills are a plus.
· Open to being coached and working towards improving communication and technical skills.
JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
· Aligning with the company’s Mission Statement and desired business goals.
· Working with the Sales Manager to create an individual sales plan for professional development.
· Organizing and following up on sales leads that are either self-generated or provided by the company.
· Continually tracking status of prospects in the sales pipeline. Maintain sales momentum with prospects.
· Following “replacement selling system” as established and coached by the SHC Sales Manager.
· Qualifying potential prospects on the phone or in person.
· Meet with prospects in their homes to understand their HVAC pain points.
· Developing rapport with prospects to understand their budget requirements.
· Able to ask relevant questions, listen to answers, then explain general HVAC concepts and potential solutions that may fit within the prospects’ budget.
· Providing detailed quotes, using sales tools such as BizPro, estimating spreadsheets, load calc software and proposal templates.
· After a sale is made, completing the necessary paperwork to turn the client’s work over to the installation team.
· Following turnover procedure established by the Operations Manager, and working with subcontractors and homeowners to make sure the scope of work is clear to everyone.
· Following up with clients during and after the work is performed to ensure customer excellence. Prospecting for new referrals from satisfied clients.
· Learning and growing professionally in all areas that will help the salesperson and the company to grow and to thrive.
· This position requires frequent travel to meet with clients, but initial contacts may be from the office or from home.
· Position includes a base salary of $40k-$50k DOE plus commissions, vehicle allowance and company benefits including but not limited to health insurance, dental, vision, PTO, profit sharing plan.
Open to training the right "fit".

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
