Position Summary: Climate change pedagogy explores how educators can effectively engage with climate change themes of environmental, economic, and social justice issues in their teaching and learning practice. This online course introduces learners to developing knowledge about and demonstrating care of the land and taking action in the context of climate change. This course will also help you develop strategies for teaching children and youth about the complex issues around climate change.
Assets for a successful candidate: Doctoral degree in education or related discipline; post-secondary teaching experience in teacher education; Teaching climate education in Ontario schools at the K-10 level; School leadership experience in climate change and sustainability education.
Qualifications – Required: Master’s degree in education or related discipline; Bachelor of Education and/or K – 12 Ontario teaching certification; K-12 experience in the area of sustainability and climate change.

This appointment is in accordance with the Contract Teaching Faculty and Part-time Librarians Collective Agreement, for which the Wilfrid Laurier Faculty Association (WLUFA) is the exclusive bargaining agent.
