Mielke Oil Company is seeking a highly motivated Territory Sales Manager for our North Dakota / Western Minnesota Territory to join our team.

Mielke Oil Company provides leading-edge lubricant products, equipment and chemical solutions to the Commercial, Industrial, Trucking and Automotive Industries throughout the Upper Midwest. Based in Minnesota, Mielke Oil Company services customers located in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North and South Dakota. Customers looking for trusted brands such as Valvoline, Castrol, Kendall, Phillips 66, Eneos, VP Lubricants, Lucas, and our very own Vision Premium Products turn to Mielke Oil for their products.

As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be based out of and MUST LIVE WITHIN Central North Dakota. The territory in which we are seeking a Territory Sales manager includes all of North Dakota and NW Minnesota.

The Territory Sales Manager establishes and executes specific plans to drive new sales, as well as, implementing customized lubricant solutions for the customers, The successful candidate must have the ability to foster new relationships while maintaining current relationships and possess a drive for success.

Ideal candidates have experience as a regional sales manager, sales manager, sales director, territory director, account manager, outside sales manager and or regional account manager.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for establishing, growing and managing new and existing customer relationships and communications.
  • Must learn our customers businesses, understand their needs and challenges and develop solutions to meet their needs.
  • Must continue to identify business needs and opportunities, as well as develop and implement customized lubricant solutions for our customers.
  • Must be willing to travel to current, new and potential customers to generate further sales.
  • Must attend continuing education on product lines offered by Mielke OIl Company.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be 25 years if age or older.
  • 5 years outside sales experience.
  • Current drivers license.
  • Must pass and maintain vehicle insurability.
  • Must be able to use a computer.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and work long hours.
  • Must be willing to travel including overnights.
  • This position may require some heavy lifting of items up to 75 pounds.

Prefer Qualifications:

  • Lubricant sales experience and knowledge of common technical terms.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Leadership and motivational skills.
  • Excellent organization and follow-up skills.
  • A desire to succeed in a competitive sales environment.
