JOB SUMMARY
Nature’s Best Seafood is a fast-growing retail brand offering customers a value focused, single brand solution for their freezer case. We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead and grow our sales team. Nature’s Best Seafood is a trademarked private label seafood brand owned by Eastern Seafood Distributors, LLC, a 24-year-old privately held frozen seafood wholesaler and distributor based in Jacksonville, Florida.
We are seeking to fill this position immediately and offer a competitive compensation with upside plus a strong benefit package.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and support existing regional sales managers
- Work with the executive team to create and execute sales strategy
- Hire and train new sales team members
- Assist sales team with the acquisition and management of key accounts
- Oversee promotions and campaigns to grow the Nature’s Best Seafood private label brand
- Track and analyze sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics – set sales quotas and goals for regional sales managers
- Represent the Company and the brand at various national and regional food shows – develop strong relationships with distributors and grocery store chains
- Work closely with supply chain to manage and plan inventory needs and set pricing
- Work with marketing manager to communicate sales goals and develop marketing strategy.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES NEEDED FOR SUCCESS:
· Sales Expertise:
- Proven record of accomplishment in sales management, preferably within the seafood or retail food distribution industry.
- Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques.
- Ability to set and achieve sales targets and KPIs.
· Industry Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of the seafood market, including trends, pricing, and regulations.
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics related to seafood distribution.
· Leadership and Management:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a national sales team.
- Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies.
- Competence in performance management and coaching.
· Customer Relationship Management:
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage key accounts and develop new business relationships.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and closing deals.
· Analytical and Strategic Thinking:
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales management tools.
· Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present and communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
· Financial Acumen:
- Understanding budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ability to manage sales budgets and resources efficiently.
· Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
· Adaptability and Flexibility:
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
- Flexibility to travel nationally as required.
· Technological Proficiency:
- Familiarity with sales software, CRM systems, and digital sales tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
· Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Several years of experience in sales management, particularly in the seafood or retail food distribution industry.
