ABOUT THE POSITION

Hazelview is currently seeking an Associate, Investor Relations & Account Management who will work alongside and support the Investor Relations and Client Portfolio Management team with account management responsibilities and general administration. This individual must possess excellent communication and analytical skills. They should have the ability to be proactively and work independently, as well as part of a team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Aggregate and deliver on-going reporting requirements for Hazelview accounts.
  • Coordinate corporate actions and trade settlements (subscriptions, redemptions, capital draws, distributions, etc.).
  • Assist with onboarding of new clients/accounts (Investor KYC / AML, new funds launches, etc).
  • Manage third-party administration relationships (transfer agents, shareholder record keeping, etc)
  • Assist clients with their requests and queries in addition to providing support to the relationship managers / sales / client portfolio management teams when required.
  • Build relationships cross departmentally (Business Development, Finance & Operations, Real Estate Investment Management, Global Securities)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

  • 2 years of financial service experience
  • Post-secondary education in business, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
  • Possession or pursuit of CFA or CAIA designation, as well as completion of the IFSE Institute’s Exempt Market Proficiency Course (EMP), are considered assets but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of trading activity and settlements

  • Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Power Point, Word)

  • Ability to speak other languages is considered an asset.
