Summary: The Inside Sales Specialist must be able to articulate COLLC technologies and products to prospective and existing users. Individual must be able to identify customer needs, for retrofit or new equipment, and apply COLLC offerings/solutions. Individual will actively drive, promote, and manage prospective sales, retrofit projects and new systems, and assign prospective work to corresponding sales representatives or internal salesperson.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails for new systems and retrofits
- Respond to clients who contact our business, answering inquiries and providing information professionally and accurately
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales representative for further development and closure
- Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
- Maintain and foster relationships with existing business partners
- Understand customer needs and requirements, including review of customer specifications and recommend solutions based on customer needs
- Works in collaboration with the application engineer and sales representative to develop the sales proposal
- Maintain working knowledge of products we supply and develop an understanding of new products, including, but not limited to:
- Industrial robots
- Collaborative robots
- Bagging equipment
- Retrofits
- Recommends changes in products and services to engineering, manufacturing, and service
- Maintains accurate and up to date customer data and opportunities; actively collects and adds market information to the CRM system
- Maintains a good rapport with Columbia/Okura departments while asking the difficult questions necessary to ensure that solutions are comprehensive and efficient
- Willing to attempt new assignments or fill in for others as needed; accomplishes other duties as assigned

Knowledge:
Software
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- (CRM) Customer Relationship Management Software - SugarCRM preferred
- Intimate familiarity with packaging equipment, preferably end-of-line packaging

- Experience with a variety of the industry’s concepts, practices, and procedures
