Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a sales team, developing new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets. The Sales Manager is Responsible For:
- Contacting potential clients and arranging meetings to develop business relationships and sales opportunities.
- Collaborating with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies, as well as supporting sales coordinators.
- Curating Auction Commission logs for both the sales manager and each auction.
- Assist with logistics to oversee timely transportation, acquisition, sale, and disposition of inventory from start to finish; in coordination with the Intakes, Cataloging, Marketing, Loadouts, Shipping, and Administrative departments.
- Oversee transports, cataloging, and timelines for offsite projects.
- Maintaining clear and consistent communications with clients, the sales department, the executive team, and the marketing department by setting and implementing weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing opportunities on upcoming auctions.
- Track, measure, and recap accurate records of sales, customer information, and market trends.
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
- Coordinate with the sales department to build community outreach and consignor relationships.
- Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position supervises the Auction Curators, the FFL & Vehicle Sales Manager, and the Sales Support Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- BS/BA in Marketing, Business, Public Relations, or relevant fields is preferred, but not required.
- Proven experience in sales management across inbound and outbound sales.
- Strong attention to detail in all facets.
- Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Good understanding of marketing principles.
- Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
- Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach.
- Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Google Workspace, CRM platform tools, Online analytics, Meta & Google AdWords, and marketing computer software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to confidentially process and maintain data with attention to detail.
- Ability to ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrive at meetings on time.
- Ability to maintain a positive, supportive, solution-focused attitude.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy(preferred).
- Proven success in designing interactive applications and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Workspace Applications.
- Valid Alaska Drivers license
- Ability to pass a background and reference check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
