Nutanix is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Sales Engineer (SE) to join the Florida Enterprise Squad. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to our customers, guiding them through their multi-cloud journeys and helping them realize the full potential of their technology investments. Your primary responsibility is to partner with the sales team to deliver transformative solutions that solve the biggest challenges for Florida’s leading enterprises. You’ll provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and impactful proof-of-concept engagements.
About the Team
At Nutanix, you will be a part of the Systems Sales Engineer team, a dynamic and customer-centric group of over 800 technical professionals across various locations. Our team identifies technical solutions that align with customer needs and offers consultative expertise to our sales, partners, and clients.
You will report to the Systems Engineering Senior Manager, who provides mentorship and guidance to help you thrive in your role. At Nutanix, we offer a flexible work setup, and this position is remote, with no fixed requirement to be in the office. This flexibility allows you to focus on delivering your best work from wherever you feel most productive.
Regarding travel expectations, this role involves up to 25% travel time, mainly within your assigned territory and for event-related opportunities. This travel component offers a chance to engage directly with customers and partners, further enhancing your skills and relationships within the industry.
Your Role
- Innovate and Influence: Demonstrate the features and unique benefits of Nutanix’s multi-cloud solutions to inspire transformation and influence customer decisions.
- Solution Design & Architecture: Configure and size Nutanix solutions tailored to the specific needs of enterprise customers.
- Strategic Partnerships: Build long-term, trusted relationships with customers and be recognized as their go-to technical resource.
- Channel & Ecosystem Collaboration: Work closely with channel partners and ecosystem alliances to amplify Nutanix’s impact across enterprise accounts.
- Customer Advocacy: Communicate real-world feedback to Nutanix’s product and engineering teams, advocating for customer needs and continually improving our solutions.
- Joint Sales Strategy: Partner with sales to create account strategies, refine customer personas, and develop compelling proposals.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the broader presales team to secure technical wins quickly and professionally.
- Thought Leadership: Deliver impactful proof-of-concept demonstrations, showcasing Nutanix’s expertise across cloud, SaaS, and automation solutions.
What You Will Bring
- 6 to 9 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, with at least 3 to 5 years in presales or systems engineering.
- Hands-on experience with cloud, SaaS, platform engineering, and/or automation frameworks. Experience with Kubernetes, AI, or multi-cloud solutions is a plus!
- A keen ability to analyze complex customer needs and design strategic solutions that simplify and solve them.
- Proven experience working closely with cross-functional teams and partners in high-stakes enterprise environments.
- Strong communicator who understands the customer’s business challenges and can effectively articulate how Nutanix can drive value.
- Agility to pivot based on customer needs, market demands, and new technological advancements.
- Uncompromising integrity, paired with a continuous desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of datacenter and cloud technologies, including virtualization, storage, and automation. Capable of performing hands-on proofs-of-concept, which may occasionally require physical setup and lifting within a data center.
- Ability to provide guidance to new hires and fellow team members.

The pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $165,200 and USD $247,800 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
