Job Duties
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Providing expertise in Application management principles for a modern cloud application ecosystem, and leading staff skill alignment on the new modern cloud data ecosystem.
- Participating in change control and governance processes, and creating value through IT governance and enterprise information policy aligned with a modern cloud ecosystem.
- Diving business engagement for the broader use of modern technologies on the cloud (e.g., AWS).
- Providing technical leadership and expertise for project initiatives and business requests on-prem and in the cloud, and championing cloud engineering/development practices.
- Participating in the technical implementation and deployment phases of business intelligence and system integration projects.
- Promoting technology literacy through appropriate tool usage and creating documentation on system operational and user procedures.
- Reviewing and consolidating IT business plans, budgets, and forecasting.
- Collaborating with Architecture to design system components, define current and future states, and provide guidance for IT and data management.
- Serving as a point of contact for application design, context, and value within the enterprise, and supporting quality and process improvement efforts and frameworks.
- Leading contract management for resources supporting enterprise applications, and analyzing requirements and providing insight to stakeholders.
- Enabling transformation of DBHDS processes across all business units by implementing best practices in application delivery.
- Identifying opportunities for cost reductions and maintaining the IT budget.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience managing and leading a team.
- Experience in application development and engineering (e.g., Serverless application, CICD).
- IT skills across on-prem and cloud technology (preferably AWS).
- Engineering skills with native services (preferably AWS).
- Experience in database management (preferably Snowflake, AWS Native, RDS).
- Experience in building products in a modern ecosystem (preferably AWS Cloud) and scripting (preferably Python/Node.js, React).
- Experience and expertise in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong understanding of networking and Cloud /FinOps management.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in cloud cybersecurity, including implementing and managing security measures to protect cloud infrastructure and data.
- Refined communication, interpersonal, and training skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of EA/IT governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience designing and implementing highly scalable, fault-tolerant solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of addressing complex IT challenges effectively.
Additional Considerations
- Experience in IT and business/industry field.
- Experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect)
