Job Description

As an Infrastructure Automation Engineer, you will make an impact by automating infrastructure, optimizing integrations, and improving system performance. Your expertise in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management will help ensure flawless deployments and top-tier system reliability. You’ll coordinate with diverse teams, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a continuous improvement environment. As a valued member of our Infrastructure practice, you will work collaboratively with the Senior Manager to achieve outstanding results in the banking and financial services domain.

In thisrole, youwill

  • Automate infrastructure and deployments by applying GitLab, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and Vault.
  • Integrate applications flawlessly through REST APIs, Webhooks, and COM objects to improve system efficiency.
  • Build automation scripts in Python, PowerShell, and Shell scripting to optimize workflows.
  • Improve system performance with tools such as New Relic, ensuring high reliability and availability.
  • Offer mentorship, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Act as a technical expert, ensuring stability and efficiency in critical systems.

Whatyou’llneed to succeed (requiredskills)

  • Proven track record of 6+ years in DevOps and infrastructure automation.
  • Expert in CI/CD pipelines and configuration management using technologies, such as ansible, docker, terraform, vault, and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, shell scripting, and Python for automation.
  • Previous experience integrating applications via COM objects, Webhooks, and REST APIs.
  • Top-tier skills in performance monitoring using New Relic
  • Dedicated to teaching, learning, and sharing knowledge with team members.

Whatwill help you stand out (preferredskills)

  • Proficient with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Detailed knowledge of security standard methodologies in DevOps.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices is an added bonus.

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2 to 3 days a week in a Client or Cognizant office in Halifax, NS.
