Crossroads C&I is seeking a CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE to fill a permanent opening on our order desk in our Coquitlam location.

Crossroads C&I is a leading wholesale distributor of mechanical insulation products. We have a longstanding reputation for quality products and superior customer service. Crossroads C&I has branches across Canada. Our Western branches have been servicing BC and Alberta for more than 50 years.

We are seeking a detail oriented, customer focused candidate with a mechanical aptitude and good interpersonal skills. 3 to 5 years’ experience within the commercial and industrial construction supply environment will be an asset.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Order Desk staff is our first point of contact with our customers. A pleasant disposition and the ability to interact well with customers and coworkers is important for this position.

This is a fast paced environment where you will interact with contractors, installers, suppliers and coworkers. The successful candidate must have the ability to maintain professional behavior under pressure in person and on the telephone.

Most of our customers are established, long term customers, so the ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship is important.

Starting salary is $50 000.00 per year depending on the applicant’s qualifications and previous experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Take orders from customers on the phone, e-mail and in person.

Read, analyze and interpret customer’s requests, directions and schedules.

Answer Customers' technical and product related questions.

Enter orders onto our computer system noting customers’ requirements.

Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.

Prepare quotes as needed under direction from our sales team.

Process returns and credits as required.

Work with other internal departments
