Key Accounts Manager

The Alside Key Accounts Manager is responsible for growth and strengthening/deepening key relationships for portfolio of Repair & Remodel National Accounts at group and market level for the entire portfolio of Alside products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in account management/execution and development of new business. This role reports to the Group Sales Director with a dotted line to the National Account Manager.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Lead Customer Growth

  • Deliver profit and volume annual targets for the assigned portfolio of national accounts
  • Lead all sales and account/planning, forecasting, reporting, management efforts for assigned accounts within territory
  • Understanding, assessing, and anticipating customers' objectives, strategies, and requirements to identify and pursue sales opportunities
  • Initiate and develop new business at national account locations that are not currently buying from Alside
  • Brings core product specification knowledge, application, and value to the customer
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and potential challenges

Lead the Customer Relationship

  • Lead, cultivate and maintain strong relationships for customer key stakeholders understanding their business needs and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction
  • Responsible for developing & executing customer wiring plan for key sales and cross functional customer stakeholders to develop a high level of customer intimacy
  • Set the account growth agenda with key internal Alside stakeholders at the group and market levels

Executional Excellence

  • Execute deliverables from customer meetings (implement tactics to grow the account, follow-through on commitments) and execute quarterly priorities
  • Provide exceptional, and escalated customer service issue follow-up, and a solid partnership with the primary contact point for issue resolution
  • Work closely with the distribution center to help facilitate and fulfill orders
  • Understands necessary building codes and how they impact customers purchasing behaviors
  • Measure success of key priorities and tactics by leveraging key performance indicators (KPIs) for the assigned portfolio of accounts
  • Plan and track opportunities in Salesforce.com including funnel management and customer engagement

Influence Others

  • Provide influential leadership to the local Alside team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity
  • Act as a mentor for Sales Representatives

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years sales account management experience
  • Preferred: 3 years sales experience in the building materials products industry
  • Familiarity with sales forecasting, business planning and financial reports
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time during the workweek
  • Proficient with CRM system and Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

BENEFITS

  • Employees (and their eligible family members) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Employees are also eligible to participate in our company's 401(k) plan that provides matching contributions. Please note, benefits may vary for those working at a Union facility.
  • Employees will receive a minimum of eight hours of vacation time every month and 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
  • The New Years Eve Holiday may be observed in current or subsequent year depending on the day it falls.
  • Individual departments or functions that need to deviate from the above schedule due to operating requirements will do so on an as needed basis.
  • Employees who are subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement will follow the holiday schedule provided in the CBA.
  • Other Compensation may include, but is not limited to, bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range or wage scale. Position dependent.
  • The stated benefits are for full-time positions working 30+ hours a week. Part-time positions may be eligible for limited benefits.
