Elecon Systems LTD designs and manufactures, Light Towers, Prime and Standby Generator sets, Custom built genset packages and Load Banks for stationary and portable applications. We are looking for a Sales Representative for the western Canada Region who is a professional with the accountability and responsibility to consistently grow Product sales, Customer base and Profits of the business. The Candidate should possess the key skills of meeting the needs of the customers, and providing the best customer ‘sales’ experience in the industry. Having a passion and drive to deliver results that exceed sales expectations is essential.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertake sales planning and develop sales strategies through market analysis.
  • Continually grow customer base and sales opportunities through the development of strong working relationships with current and prospective clients, the delivery of excellent customer service and exceptional product and application knowledge.
  • Call on new potential customers and existing customers
  • Develop proposals and quotes based upon client needs, specifications and product offerings. This includes; new customer sales contracts, sales quotes, product sales pitch and demonstrations, warranties, and providing support to customers on products purchased.
  • Aggressive follow up on all sales opportunities to win PO's with existing and prospect new clients; conducting sales calls including cold calls, leads and referral follow up to present product solutions and increase sales in the assigned territory
  • Recording of all sales opportunities, opportunity status and final disposition of all quotes, and ensure all customer data is entered
  • Provide and execute an annual Service Sales Plan and provide monthly updates, revisions and modifications to achieve the Plan.
  • Conduct follow up with customers on orders, quotes and service requested; undertaking activities to ensure the sale, such as sourcing of competitor information and analysis of competitor product offerings, application and pricing in order to overcome client objections.
  • Conduct lunch meetings in order to promote and sell principal products.
  • Follow up customer orders with inside sales to ensure delivery, potential delays or other issues are appropriately and preemptively addressed.
  • Review projects to ensure adherence to established timelines and deadlines, providing updates as required.
  • Travel to customer locations in order to deliver sales meetings; conducting technical presentations and demonstrations.

Education and other requirements:

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years successful technical sales experience in a related industry
  • Strong knowledge and understanding and functionality of electrical and mechanical products such as diesel & natural gas generator sets, light towers, and load banks
  • College or University Education
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Presentation Software
  • Strong customer service background in a related industry preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written
  • Excellent demonstrated mechanical aptitude, analysis and problem solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance

Working conditions:

  • Travel required
  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
  • Additional hours maybe required to meet customer deadlines and expectations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $63,474.27-$102,591.89 per year
