IT Technology- Business Development Representative


Acture Solutions of Colonie, NY is looking to hire a full-time Business Development Representative to join our remarkably smart team. With a renewed vision from our CEO, Acture Solutions is preparing for expansion through innovation, creativity, and forward-thinking.


Position Overview:

The Business Development Representative will report directly to the VP of Sales and will be responsible for independently seeking out and growing new sales opportunities.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively prospect potential new clients, and build a sales pipeline in the Education, non-profit, and healthcare space.
  • Identify and sell 15-20 new logo customers on projects and services within the first 18 months of employment with Acture Solutions
  • Know all aspects of Acture's line card of offerings for managed services, networking, cybersecurity, licensing, collaboration tech, and cloud solutions... aka "the stack" and participate in improving the stack.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies to reach our sales targets.
  • Identify market trends, competition, and industry developments.
  • Attend networking events and trade shows to build relationships and generate leads. Some travel is required.
  • Collaborate with sales team members, senior technicians, key vendors, and Acture site leaders to design, price, and manage your opportunities through the CRM system.
  • Learn your accounts' IT budgets, specifically spends on services, licensing, and calculated costs due to inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership to develop and maintain great relationships and create new leads for sales organization, moving the clients towards great projects, best practices, better security, and more effective use of technology.


Who you are:
  • You have an Associates or Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • You have at least 5+ years of experience in IT sales or customer service.
  • Experience with State and Local education, and non-profits a plus.
  • You have an established book of business and industry connections.
  • Experience selling networking, telephony, cloud, and cyber-security solutions.
  • Previous MSP experience is a plus.
  • You are a true "Sales Hunter."
  • Expertise in working sales and trade conferences.
  • You thrive on exceeding sales targets
  • You are experienced in Microsoft Teams and using CRM platforms.
  • You can change priorities quickly when necessary, yet still keep movement on long-term projects and tasks.

Compensation: Acture Solutions is proud to offer an extremely generous and "Employee Forward" compensation program:

  • $100k-$120k plus commissions/bonus
