Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative plays a crucial role in supporting our outside sales team operations. This position involves managing customer interactions, processing sales orders and providing support to our external sales team. The ideal candidate will be an extremely detail-oriented and proactive problem-solver with strong technological proficiency and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and maintain sales orders and quotations efficiently.
- Conduct sales over the phone and assist with sales support tasks.
- Provide timely responses to customer inquiries via email and phone, ensuring a high level of service.
- Assist customers by identifying suitable products and suggesting alternatives when necessary.
- Collaborate with the external sales team to facilitate outstanding customer service.
- Participate in organizational activities such as trade shows and customer site visits as needed.
- Use ERP systems such as Epicor to manage customer data and order processing.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively by prioritizing responsibilities and organizing workloads.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED; further education or certification in sales or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in customer service or sales, with a preference for backgrounds in manufacturing and industrial spaces.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working well in both team settings and independently.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems, manage projects, and analyze information effectively.
- Mechanical aptitude, with basic knowledge of pipe fitting products highly regarded.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
