What you will do:
The Account Manager for the Sales department performs a range of tasks to drive revenue and ensure customer satisfaction. Requirements vary, but in most cases, you’ll be communicating with customers, dealing with customer service inquiries, arranging sales appointments, providing information to the sales leadership, managing customer accounts and performing data entry tasks as necessary. The role requires great time management and organization skills. Interpersonal skills are also essential as a large part of the job involves customer support.
Essential Functions
- Work directly with assigned customers and accounts.
- Manage all communication for sales activity with customers.
- Maintain positive working relationships with clients for business growth.
- Drive sales opportunities based on customer needs.
- Assist on building sales presentations according to client’s needs.
- Develop and maintain client reports.
- Review reports for accuracy and integrity.
- Organize customer/account meetings and prepare agendas and meeting notes.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance for customer orders, account status, and relevant problems. Ensure customer satisfaction with purchases through follow up contact.
- Review pending orders and specific customer requests to ensure excellent customer service and customer experience
- Generate and process new sales leads as necessary
- Deal with any customer complaints and resolves the issue as necessary
- Compile daily lists of leads and delegate individual leads to sales team associates
- Maintain an organized and accessible file system for sales professionals
- Provide administrative assistance to sales executives and management team members
- Perform data entry including sales figures, metrics and other key data
- Create and process sales orders in a timely fashion
- Expedite requests for rush orders and alter sales orders and shipping data as needed
- Provide excellent customer service for to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Travel may be required, 15%-25% of the time, Attending tradeshows as requested,weekends included.
- Other tasks as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the following general knowledge
- Experience in Fragrance, Flavor, Topicals or Cosmetics Preferred.
- Great Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Attention to Detail
- Understanding of Sales Process
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
