Summary:
The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for assisting with all marketing-related tasks. The Marketing Assistant will log and organize all local partnerships, advertising partners and media guests. The Marketing Assistant will work closely with our sales department to help promote upcoming events, promotions, and push sales to specific revenue streams through various marketing outlets. The Marketing Assistant will be keep our marketing calendar. The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for making regular social media posts and updates within guidelines, sending marketing emails, updating flyers, and print materials as necessary. The Marketing Assistant will help organize and facilitate company events such as featured artists, job fairs, community picnics and business expos. The Marketing Assistant will help vet media inquiries and should be comfortable speaking on behalf of the company when necessary. The Marketing Assistant will be expected to follow up with media guests, review various photoshoots and public features and repost as necessary. The Marketing Coordinator will assist with updating our website, online listings and other programs to ensure uniformity. The Marketing Assistant will be trained to work at our Zephyr Cove Shop and will be expected to assist with other sales and shop needs as necessary. The Marketing Assistant will work with the Inventory Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator and/or Sales Manager to design branded products for promotions, retail sales and staff uniforms. The Marketing Assistant should be able to follow direction and report back. Marketing Assistant will help distribute flyers and marketing materials and follow-up with local businesses to restock as necessary.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position is a very organized and sociable person who is quick to learn and strives to discover a new creative method for presenting information. Candidates for the Marketing Coordinator position should be comfortable working from our Clearly Tahoe Shop as well as a shared-office environment. The ideal candidate for this position should have a good understanding and background knowledge of the Lake Tahoe area and Clearly Tahoe and be comfortable speaking on behalf of the company impromptu without planned notes. An ideal candidate for this position will be comfortable being on camera and speaking in front of large groups. Our Marketing Coordinator should be excited to build new relationships, network within the community and develop partnerships.

Clearly Tahoe is a full-service recreational company in the Lake Tahoe area that specializes in guided tours and rentals on both land and water. We currently feature guided tours from 5 different Lake Tahoe locations, operate 1 rental concession on Lake Tahoe and 2 adventure-themed retail shops in the Tahoe basin. In addition to our popular tours in completely transparent kayaks, Clearly Tahoe also offers on-site rentals from the Sand Harbor Nevada State Park, hiking, biking and snowshoe tours during the off-season. Our sister location based out of California offers 2 additional tour locations and guided excursions that depart from our 46-foot tri-toon, the Clearly Explorer. With a team of more than 60 employees, Clearly Tahoe offers a variety of both seasonal and year-round positions, in-house training, and growth opportunities.

Work Environment
The Marketing Assistant will, by default, be scheduled to work from our Clearly Tahoe Shop in Zephyr Cove, NV and will fulfill the role of Sales Associate. Marketing Assistant will also have access to a sales office where they will work alongside our sales and reservation team. The Marketing Assistant should be comfortable navigating on-site operations and will be expected to help coordinate photoshoots, interviews and other events on-site at one of our Clearly Tahoe operating locations as necessary. The Marketing Assistant may be expected to help run errands, distribute marketing materials and attend off-site networking meetings and events from time to time.

Schedule
The Marketing Assistant will generally be scheduled to work an 8-hour shift 2-5 days per week (depending on full-time/part-time status). Shifts will start as early as 7:00 am and as late as 11:00 am depending on the season. The Marketing Assistant may be asked to assist with events and marketing tasks off-site from time to time outside of the normal schedule.

Season (if applicable)
This position is expected to average 6-months for an entry-level employee. Marketing Assistant within our sales division should expect to work between May and October in their first year. New-hires may be asked to start as early as April 1st for company training.

Clearly Tahoe is a seasonal recreational company that is only open at limited capacity during the winter months. Our 4-month high-season runs from June through September. (Please note: it is highly desired that employees do not have extensive time-off requests during this time) the bulk of our activity division seasonal employees are expected to work between the 6-month period of May through October while extended season and returning employees may work an 8-month period from April through November. First-year sales and reservation team members should be available to work during our 8-month extended season (April – November) while returning and seasonal sales division team members can be expected to work between the 10-month period of February 15th and December 15th.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related degree (preferred)
- Experience Running High Volume Social Media Accounts

Primary Job Duties
- Arrive to work on time as scheduled.
- Keep marketing and company event calendar updated and ensure all tasks are on-track.
- Review and help vet marketing inquiries.
- Communicate with local businesses to inform of upcoming events, promotions, season changes etc.
- Update, re-order and distribute marketing materials as necessary.
- Help maintain social media accounts.
- Send out marketing email updates.
- Update the website and online business listings.
- Follow up with media guests and marketing collabs.

- Assist with photoshoots and obtaining media content.
- Help edit raw materials and prepare posts, flyers, signage etc. when necessary.
- Attend local events and marketing events on behalf of Clearly Tahoe when necessary.
- Help order promotional products for events.
- Assist with the design and ordering of Clearly Tahoe branded item
- Help with other company needs from time to time as necessary.
- Assist with general questions from guests.
- Work from our Clearly Tahoe shop locations and help fulfill Sales Associate shop duties.

Compensation
Training Rate: $14.00/hour (Nevada)
Starting Rate: $18.00-20.00/hour
Long-Term Rate Range: $18.00-23.40/hour
