Job Description
As the Director of Sales and Catering, you will be responsible for leading and managing the hotel's sales team to achieve revenue goals and maximize market share. You will oversee all aspects of the sales process, from prospecting to closing deals, while ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
· The Director of Sales & Catering will report to the General Manager
· Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and objectives
· Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics to drive revenue growth
· Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to expand customer base
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction
· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify potential business opportunities
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives
· Conduct regular performance evaluations of the sales team and provide coaching and training as needed
· Sets goals and expectations for direct reports, aligns performance and rewards, addresses performance issues, and holds staff accountable for successful results
Requirements:
· Four-year college degree required; additional/advanced degree coursework in business administration, hospitality management, marketing or communications a plus.
· 5 Years of Sales Leadership Experience in a Full-Service Hotel required
· Proven track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding expectations
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
· Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
· Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
· Excellent account management and customer service skills
· Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and achieving targets
· Solid understanding of outside sales techniques and strategies
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Availability: The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands
