Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

You will support prospecting activities for Field Sales to ensure we are meeting pre-set yearly targets. The IB sales targets include net new merchant targets, cross-sell to existing merchants targets, and an overall revenue target. This role is a merchant facing role and will require both, you and the IB Field Sales Consultants, to spend multiple days a week in the field. You will help your team members with their Self Source prospecting and visit merchants' location of business to build relationships, provide education on Moneris solutions and prospect and sign-up new clients. You will also be accountable to manage a team of up to approximately 8 Consultants in the assigned territory to ensure collaboration, relationship management, and maximize winning of sales opportunities.

Location: You will report into our Toronto office and will work in a remote model.

Reporting Relationship : You will report to Director, Business Development

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Develop and lead the strategy for your assigned sales group
  • Build business plans and apply tactics to help exceed assigned territory objectives. Set and monitor performance goals through a formal process
  • Prioritize self source prospecting and time in the field with the IB Field Sales Consultant. Visit merchants with consultants in assigned regions weekly to help maintain a healthy pipeline for the IB Field Sales
  • Educate prospective merchants on Moneris solutions, pricing, and offers to win and close sales. Train Sales Consultants on improving sales techniques and product acumen and help win sales
  • Support Sales Consultants with creating and reviewing solution proposals & pricing offers that meet the needs of merchants to improve greater revenue and retain existing Moneris merchants
  • Be in the field with the Sales Consultants to maximize revenue by prospecting, cold-calling and engaging with customers to exceed sales targets.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related field
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution
  • 5+ years of strategic sales/ account management/ business development experience , with minimum 1-3 years of leadership/ people management experience.
  • Experience in different sales management methodologies, processes and reporting requirements
  • Understanding of strategic selling techniques with negotiation skills
